Lean and Green

As many families have found the need to make a change in their lives last month with New Year's Resolutions, as usual we are a month behind. Better late than never I hope.

On going green.... you know that it is time when your four year old is encouraging the move. We stopped using paper plates over a month ago. The increase in dishes has been rather unpleasant, but they eventually get done. Our next step is the "lightbulb". M finally committed to those yesterday. We are not going to replace them all at once, but as our current ones burn out. The recycling recepticle is being moved to the fine institution of higher learning that I loathe to still attend. It is my hope that with it being convienent that we are all more willing to recycle the plastics that we use. That would be a good start.

On going lean.... Today is the day, I hope that it is. I am going to log into Weight Watcher's once again and start. Facing the music stinks. We are bad models for dd. I do not want her to grow up a chubby little girl like I did, just to turn into a chubby little adult. We just need to eat better. On a personal level I need to give up soda. Coke. It is not even 8 a.m. and I am already craving the days first drink. If I am personally responsible and honest here I can be on the Points counting site too.
